Want to do some service...BUT...Dont find time..!!

The Mayonnaise Jar & 2 Beers

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 Beers.

A professor   stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with an unanimous 'yes.'

The professor then produced two Beers from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar  effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

'Now,' said the professor as the laughter subsided, 'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things---your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions---and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your career, your college and your studies.

The sand is everything else---the small stuff. 'If you put the sand into the jar first,' he continued, 'there is no room for the pebbles or the  golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

'Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Spend time with your siblings. Spend time with your parents. Visit with grandparents. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls first---the things that really matter.. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.'

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the Beer represented. The professor smiled and said, 'I'm glad you asked.'

The Beer just shows you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of Beers with a friend.'

SO.... FRIENDS WHEN THERE IS ROOM FOR EVERY THING IN YOUR LIFE,,,DON'T YOU THINK THERE CAN ALSO BE A SMALL SPACE IN YOUR BUSY LIVES TO DO SOME THING TO THESE LESS FORTUNATE ONES..!!

SO INSPITE OF YOUR COLLEGE, RECORDS, PROJECTS, FRIENDS, MOVIES, CAREER PLANNING, CAT...MAT..GATE..... STILL YOU CAN FIND SOME TIME FOR THIS SORT OF SOCIAL WORK TOO....DON'T U...!!

ATLEAST STOP SAYING WE ARE TOO BUSY TO FIND SOME TIME FOR THIS..!!

HOPE U WOULD FEEL RESPONSIBLE AT LEAST NOW.....!!

Worth reading atleast once..!!

Hi Friends,

This is a little Tale which may fill Huge confidence in every one. Read it.

A water bearer in China had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, while the other pot was perfect and always Delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walk from the stream to the House, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water to his house.

Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, Perfect for which it was made. But the poor cracked pot was Ashamed of its own imperfection. And miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do.

After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream. "I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you. I have been able to deliver only half my load because this crack in my side causes Water to leak out all the way back to your house. Because of my Flaws, you have to do all of this work, and you don't get full value from your efforts," the pot said.

The bearer said to the pot, "Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side? That's because I have always known about your flaw. So I Planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you've watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house?

Moral: Each of us has our own unique flaws. We're all cracked pots. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You've just got to take each person for what they are, and look for the good in them. Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape. Remember to appreciate all the different people in your life.

For all of us..!!

HUMAN BEINGS ARE SUCH SMALL CREATURES, AREN'T THEY?

SO DON'T BE TOO  WORRIED ABOUT EVERYTHING,

TREASURE EVERY MOMENT, DO WHAT YOU WISH TO DO.....

BROADEN  YOUR VIEW, BROADEN  YOUR MIND,

DON'T WORRY TOO MUCH  ABOUT THINGS THAT ARE BOTHERING YOU,

DO TREASURE  YOUR LOVED ONES, LIVE SAFELY AND PEACEFULLY,

ALWAYS BE HAPPY TO WELCOME THE COMING OF THE NEW DAY.......  ENJOY  THE SUNSHINE ..

ALWAYS LOOK AT THE BRIGHTER SIDE OF THINGS

Who Were Involved..

A group of Nirmalites started the organization in the month of June this year. This proposal of doing some good to the society as a piece of responsibility was put forth by our friend Dheeraj, at our Nirmala high school re-union ' iget-2009' which is our third get together.

We had our inspiration from 'Nirmann' which was started by the students of ' BITS pilani and 'Sneha foundation' which was started and run by the GITAM students.

Initially we only have a group of nirmalites in the organization later organization expanded its horizons to many other colleges in the state. Some of them are GEC (Gudlavalleru Engineering college), VRSEC vijayawada, KL University vijayawada, Sidhartha Pharmacy college (SCOPS), LakkireddyBalireddy Engineering College, vijayawda, Nimbra Engineering college, Nova Engineering college, vijayawada.

GITAM university vizag, Andhra University(Engineering college), Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology Hyderabad, Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and technology (GRIET )Hyderabad.

Apart from these active members SAMSTHAPANA also has two good mentors who were there right from the beginning to support and initiate all the activities taken up by the members. They are Sneha Latha, an alma matter of GITAM university and founder of gitam's social organization and Jagdish Koneti, student of IIT Kharagpur, and a cheif member of the world famous social organization 'ART OF LIVING'. We extend our hearty thanks to both of them for their support.

Our First Accomplishment

Hi friends...

Our first program after starting the organization was at Penamulluru ZP high school, Vijayawada. our core team first visited the school to help the students academically, i.e., in the areas of subjects which they were weak. Then we came to know through the Principal of the school, that very bright students were not able to write their tenth standard board exam due to their poor financial background.

When our core team had a small interactive session with the tenth students, we found that they are simply superb at their academics. One boy said to Dheeraj in despair that he had prepared well for the exam but could not do it just because his father is a drunkard. All of us were filled with sympathy towards the innocent children. As our organization is  just a new born baby we were not having sufficient funds to help them. We decided to help them with our pocket money.
We paid their exam fees and also provided them with sufficient study material to come out with flying colors. As a result 25 students were able to write their board exams with out any problem.

Our members were motivated and rejuvenated by the response of the students at the assembly for our small help. We promised them to extend our further help academically and financially.

English Literacy Program

This program is to equip the rural students with skills, which have a demand in the competitive market.
We are planning to teach :

And the program is being launched initially at penamalluru ZP high school for 8th and 9th standard students. This will be further extended to 6th and 7th standards also totally covering around 600 rural background students.

Further the program will expand its horizons to other rural areas also.

My dear friends your help is very much required for these rural students to cope up with the outside world. For you it may be just english but for them it will put on their career a step forward, be kind enough to share what you have not in terms of money but knowledge.

Interested friends please enroll your names in advance so there will be a smooth schedule.

Initial step

We started our organization in the month of June this year. This proposal of doing some good to the society as a piece of responsibility was put forth by our friend Dheeraj, at our re-union ' iget-2009' which is our third get together.
Then we gave a small boast start to the organization by celebrating our friend Bhanu's birthday party at an orphanage named 'child aid foundation', All the members were really happy for the event, we saw a glow in every child's face. They felt even they had somebody to share their feelings and express their happiness.

We gave them some fruits, chocolates and biscuits, we placed magic candles on the cake so that children will enjoy it. Bhanu has cut the birthday cake with a small difficulty to blow off the magic birthday candles and distributed the pieces to all the children.

Finally at the end of the party all our friends had some fun and dispersed. when we were above to leave Dheeraj asked them whether  they liked the party and celebrations. The boys replied we felt for the first time we had very good sisters and brothers to share our emotions.
We asked whether they need something else, and also said we are ready to give them anything they want. A small boy 8 yrs old asked us to get a magic candle for him the next time we visit the orphanage. At that moment we were really touched and we understood that what they need from us is just a small concern and nothing else.
we promised ourself to spend some free time for these less fortunate ones....
